905.886.2545 x233 Introduction of Entity Display Restrictions The Entity Display Restrictions functionality provides the ability to set up viewing restrictions to account sets, security models, asset mix models, and investment policy mixes. These types of data are referred to as entities. In the future, we may expand the Display Restrictions functionality to other entities.
Viewing restrictions limit the entities displayed in grids and drop-down selectors. The benefit of viewing restrictions is the customizing of the drop-down selectors to an individual's items of interest. For example, a person could limit the account sets to those they have created, thus eliminating the display of all of the account sets available.
The Entity Display Restrictions functionality limits the display of entities to one user or a group of users. The concept of 'user groups' is introduced to permit the display restrictions to be applied to a group of people, thereby facilitating the ease of management of display entities. For example, a particular Portfolio Manager and Assistant could be considered a 'group' and, as such, would have display access to all of the accounts managed by the Portfolio Manager and all of the security models created by either the Portfolio Manager or the Assistant.
For additional information on the Entity Display Restrictions functionality, the Evolution Entity Display Restrictions User Guide is available upon request.

Information - Questions
This section explores features and functions, which may be undiscovered or queried by experienced Evolution operations.
The emphasis for this issue is on modifying the inception date of blended benchmarks.
Q: If a Blended Benchmark's inception date is presently set as December 31st, 2004, can we change this to June 30th, 2003 and then recalculate?
A: You can simply select the "12/31/2004" entry on the display grid, and press the "Delete Item" button on the lower part of the grid. This is followed by pressing the "Save" button. This removes December 31st, 2004 as the inception date. To set June 30th, 2003 as the new inception date, press the "New Item" button, and add in your new date entry. Follow this by pressing the "Save Value for Blended Benchmark" button.
